It was terrifying. Water like that is not to be messed with.

I never tire of watching these layers build.Annie Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00178236295806176573noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5784292642337662930.post-65270339931234965822010-06-08T13:00:36.584-04:002010-06-08T13:00:36.584-04:00I just passed through Salida & southern CO the...I just passed through Salida & southern CO the last few days, the streams and rivers are incredible! We spent a few nights camping next to "creeks" that sounded like roaring waterfalls!Marissa Buschowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14902867977131616596noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5784292642337662930.post-30053226227875510282010-06-08T10:15:56.558-04:002010-06-08T10:15:56.558-04:00Actually, Lindy, they've had to close commerci...Actually, Lindy, they've had to close commercial boating. Water is too high, too fast, and too high under bridges for boats. Eek. Even the side streams are running like mad.

I love spring runoff, but getting it all at once is a tad extreme. And I'd rather not be headed to Albuquerque tomorrow in 100 degree temps, but whaterya gonna do? :-)

Think it's time to go look at the river again!Sherrie Yorkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01967844327055630854noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5784292642337662930.post-16793336600578295792010-06-08T10:12:27.222-04:002010-06-08T10:12:27.222-04:00WOW! I remember days in Salida when temps would go slightly over 100 in the afternoons. The nights are a different story - glorious once the sun sets behind the 14ers.

I imagine the rafting outfits are having a great time with those numbers. :-D Brown's must be quite exciting right about now.

LindyLindyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05315980350142729265noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5784292642337662930.post-5090500381674797352010-06-08T05:01:36.977-04:002010-06-08T05:01:36.977-04:00number 9! o.0
