Barenlove

That's baren with a single 'r,' mind you.

Finally got back to work on the smallish linocut that I started before the Utah gathering. Pulled the fifth (!) color this evening with the new baren, and had one of those "why did I wait so long to do this?" moments. I suppose it's possible that the stars aligned and I did everything right with ink mixing, too, but OOOOH. This pass went off without a single hiccup and I'm ready to carve some more.

  1. Cool! I can't wait to see how the next pass goes, but it's exciting to think this new baren is such a step up. Who'd 'a thunk!

  2. I don't know now your nerves can stand doing reduction prints! There is a nervous excitement that I have for you! Carry on...

  3. :-) Nervous is the name of the game. I never really know... I have an idea, but the result is never what I envision. Sometimes it's better, sometimes just different. These smaller ones are a little less nerve-wracking. ;-)
